Easter Goodness

I may be a little late in saying so, but wasn't this Easter one of the most spectacular we have ever had?! Well in my lifetime anyhow... and in my neck of the woods, and anywhere else the sun was shining down the love! I spent the weekend with my beautiful family; eating, laughing, skating (and subsequently nearly dying) easter egg hunting, soaking up some good ol' vitamin D, taking photos just for fun and being thankful for all that I have and the reason I have it all. Here are some of the things I am thankful for. (Minus a few amazing people!) I hope they make your heart warm- whatever the temperature in your neck of the woods, and I truly hope your Easter weekend was as blessed as mine :)

Autumn is here! And it’s a fantastic time for photos... the summer heat is dwindling away, but the long sun drenched afternoons linger on with a warm breeze still wafting.

The adventures of Lailyn Cherry & Mama Chlo

My friend Chloe and I had been planning to do this shoot with her daughter Lailyn for months. Rain, more rain and consequent flooding held it off a few times... until one day- with thanks to my sisters planning and no effort of my own- it finally happened. Hooray! After spending the morning with Lailyn, chatting, playing soccer with a basketball and hunting down an elusive pet turtle, we set up to start shooting. But alas, she was not too impressed about being photographed. I never want to make kids uncomfortable in a photo session, great photos will never result from that. So both Chloe and I set about getting her to focus on tea cups, adventuring and her own rapidly improving photo taking skills...

Noah's first day at school

Today is my nephew Noah's first day at kindergarten. He was as happy as Larry as he trotted off in his shiny new shoes and his slightly oversized uniform... This kid is going to grow up to do incredible things. But for now, I just hope he has a great time at kindy!
